Pattaya was real fun! Though the competition was nothing compared to Chiang Mai's.
Only two "Kallang-like-quality" fields. Only like 8 teams? Two from SG somemore.
Heres the big BUT
The accommodation was good
The shopping was great
The food NICE
New friends
Get to know my seniors better (this is great haha)
Talking about the highlights of the competition......
I think it was tie-breaker, bases loaded, Jun Yu at bat, GRANDSLAM, OVER THE FENCE. lol
There were some good plays and some screw ups in the midst of the competition. But overall it was fun.
Oh yea abt the Hunters game, its not tt im nervous or anything since i've played them like countless times, its just that im kind of tired of seeing them again and again. Basically, i think we lost the game cos we got hustled too much.
And the last day lol, i totally regretted wearing this pair of shoes to shopping. There were blisters on my heels and then it bled. Then i went to buy this pair of slippers with screwed up lines on the sides.
There were fun moments as well, i rmb this room visit to mou's place...... and Daniel (yea that supposedly guai roommate of mine) did smth which absolutely shocked me to the EXTREME lol, details shall not be revealed.
Also abt the visit to the walking street, on the way up there was this road kind of invaded by monkeys. Then we tried to feed the monkeys with some cucumbers and bananas. Then there was this monkey king which came to snatch the food away. Anyway, i cant really rmb much abt the incident but it was scary.
All we have to do now is to wait for the results, isnt that great? IT IS!
Anyway, 2012 was great, but the shopping part was bad.
I wanted to buy this Arsenal jacket and it cost 135 dollars. MADNESS
So basically i couldnt buy anything.
Nvm, nvm, hong kong shud be much better.
[FOOTBALL RANTS]
This post is dedicated to man u, if ur a man u fan, please leave, go somewhere else.ITS NOT GONNA SOUND PLEASING.
Firstly, fletcher, please for goodness sake, ADMIT DEFEAT!
U think u deserved to win the match anyway? Chelsea dominated and that is a fact.
U claimed that it shudnt have been a free kick, WHO KNOWS? PROVE?
fergie, ur so wrong when u claimed that man u dominated the game, ur so very wrong.
The worst thing abt fletcher is that he actually blamed Wenger for influencing the ref, then what abt fergie influencing the ref? go on, sack ur boss.
fletcher, u still owe Arsenal a penalty. Tts y i hate u so so much.
Anyway, when and where did u learn the ULTIMATE KUNG FU kick, evans? teach a bit leh haha. Ur so so evil, anyway, ur on the right track to becoming a true man u player, u have been brainwashed successfully.
True, Arsenal players dive, so does every other team, man u is just lucky tt the diving king left, and now the diving king wannabe rooney is on his way to perfecting his diving skills.
Sorry but i dislike/despise man u so much. Because of their arrogance, cant stand it, sorry.
ANYTHING BUT UNITED!!!
Fours years haha, time flies. We have graduated from Cat high.
Troubles, troubles and more troubles.
Remember when we were still in sec 1? There were many quarrels and complicated stuff.
Yesterday's experience alone was good enough for another 4 years of bonding.
Im glad that most of us are getting along really well now.
You guys are simply the most hilarious lot.
I've learnt that in order to survive in this class, you have to tolerate all the stupid insults targeted at u. After all, it's "juuuuuusssst" right? Haha.
A lesson i've learnt from yesterday's experince was that you Singaporeans actually do have hearts and know how to develop feelings for one another...... haha juuuust.
Anyway, mr mac's theory states as long as u are a foreigner, you get a kick in the ass from the locals. I've learnt to accept that :) at least we are all humans.
I wanna thank all the teachers too although they wont be reading this, they are the ones who have worked so hard for us.
Forgive one another and move on as friends! 4-10! BFFS lol, stupid terence.
Finally, its a break and i guess its time for me to finish those HW i still owe... especially maths man! I realised O's are jus few months away and everybody must be working REALLY hard, good luck ppl. Somehow im abit worried about the DSA application, tts y i've never said i've secured a place at HC...... did i? Anyway thats the future and i should be focused on studies right now.
Mens league is over, it was a nightmare for me... especially the last game, dun ever want to think about it anymore, makes me depressed, makes me think that i shudnt even be called a softballer, makes me think tt everyone in the team thinks tt im a loser. Oh yea and i think im not gonna sign up for the TW trip coz there are ppl who deserve the slot more than i do.
Im looking forward to the end of O's, such fun...... seeing my niece and all...... away from this messy life. Anyway, life back in China would also be messy with all my father's "friends".
Mr Goh has left the school and i hope he does find success in the new chapter of his life...
And sorry for being such a quiet captain because i dont really know how to express myself in front of others, although im trying hard to learn.
Thank you everything and i do understand that its just your personality that makes you lose temper so easily......
Perez Hilton is a gay and he is quite the loser...... haha jus
Finally, i've decided to make this lil post to sum up the past few months.
I think i've found my target, and that is to be bilingual. Never mind what comes after it in the school's pledge, not yet. So please do correct my usage of vocab or whatever from now onwards.
Oh yea, i got 3rd place for discus throws! I beat Kenneth Tay haha.
Tomorrow im gonna beat him again in the javelin throws event. Its gonna be an achievement.
Im overjoyed because im gonna have a baby nephew(hopefully) next year.
Anyway, Happy CNY to everyone!
It has been a long time since i've visited any relatives during CNY
In fact, i dont remember any of those days anymore.
CNY is just about staying at home nowadays.
And i've told my dad that im gonna stay until i've graduated from uni here......
Thats another few years of CNY-less.
Recently i've been thinking of which language to focus on, not just for the O's, but also my future.
Its a hard decision so i better work on both ATM.
My dad came to SG few days ago,
Yesterday night, we had dinner and he invited some friends.
I saw this 15 year old guy, the friend's son.
He is already taller than me.....
And i was further embarrassed when my uncle 'announced' my age to the other party.
I heard that he is a great golfer, 70-ish
Dont really know whether thats great for a 15 years old
Im already 17, thank God for keeping me alive :)
Thank God for the boots, the pair of shin guard and the half day tomorrow.
Today, i had the longest CIP ever in my school life.
9am all the way to 4.30pm, sheer hard work.
However, our class somehow enjoyed the trip.
There were teachers, together helping out with the newspaper collection.
Although we sports class people were amongst the last few groups to leave the "dump site"
We did a great job and no serious complaints.
Since im celebrating my birthday early, it shall be a no-work day for me.
Lets talk about my progress as a softballer
Currently, my batting style is to see the point of release from the pitcher and 100% bat speed.
Simple as that.
No chasing of the ball, wait for the ball to reach and swing hard.
It works well facing a slow pitcher, but not tested against a fast pitcher.
On machine? I'll say around 50 percent success if ur talking abt straight drives, not really good.
Bat speed is the key for me.
Another thing is that, i'll try not to lift my front leg to charge up for a swing too early, whole body must be in relaxed mode until the pitcher is abt to release the ball.
Pls do share ur own batting styles with me.
Still need to improve on my fielding, throw is alright.
But for fielding, one tip is that, your eyes should follow the ball all the way till it lands in the gloves, then execute the play. Ball first, then the play.
'The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement' says my physics teacher.
Cheap and nice hotdogs.
Although we made numerous mistakes in our fielding, but we managed to hit back.
